Statistics

Queen’s Park ward covers much of the area also known as Charminster and has a resident population of 9,746.

The ward is one of the most ethnically diverse in Bournemouth with residents of a mixed race background making up the largest group of the non-white population.

There is a large number of owner-occupiers but there is also a significant proportion of residents renting privately. This is probably linked to the numbers of converted flats that are often popular rental properties.

A significant proportion of households are living in overcrowded conditions. Fewer residents than nationally are without a qualification.
