It is reported on the "Echo" website (wed 15/10/08) that the Bournemouth Hospital is to charge staff for parking when the new multistorey is built. This is bad news for us, as our roads will be choked with hospital staff cars parked all day. It is also bad news for anyone who uses Castle Lane, as staff will, where possible, be dropped off by a car which turns round and goes back again, rather than driving in and parking all day, increasing traffic density. The planning application is not yet decided, I suggest that we make representations that the car park must be free for staff, as a planning condition

Never mind Pixies, I had trouble earlier this year with the Tooth Fairy. My little boy lost his first tooth, and put it under his pillow, and all she left was 20p!!!. I ask you, 20p, what can he buy with that?. He wanted an Xbox 360. Never mind we'll get her next time. He's got another loose tooth now, so I've borrowed one of those electric fly killers with the purple fluorescent lamp in from an hotel kitchen. I've taken the lamp out, and when the tooth comes out, I'll put it inside where the tube was, plug it in and wait. ZAP -see how you like 240 volts across your wings, Tinkerbell. 20p indeed!

These are all fairy tales. None of these creatures exist.

Hope they are not goblins. They can be very unpleasant. A family of them moved into rented accomodation down the road a while ago. The garden was full of turnip ends and the cat wouldn't go out.

No they are not elves. We've been able to look at them with my husband's small but highly powered field glasses. They wear little green pointed hats. I don't think elves do that.

Are you sure they are not elves? We were plagued with them several years ago. They used to come into the garden from the Park. Warfarin did the trick.

Anybody else having trouble with Pixies? We get them out in the garden at twilight. We can hear their tinkling laughter and there is a sort of orange glow where they are dancing - but they make a mess of the flower borders. Any way of geting rid with them?
